Original Toronto Star caption: Feathered harbingers of winter gather for the long trip south. Birds are flocking together this week as they prepare for their annual migration southward. In ancient days; all they had to light on was trees; but in an unconscious gesture of generosity; mankind has provided miles of telephone wires for birds to sit on in great numbers as they form their migration groups.
