A Canada goose with a plastic ring entwined around its bill and neck (above) is emaciated and hungry but as animal rescue officials (right) tried to get near enough to rescue it yesterday; the bird flew away. The goose lives on reedy marshland at Rouge Beach park and has been fed since Good Friday by Peter and Jean Charters of Clappison Blvd.
