Jackson, celebrated 89th birthday yesterday. venerable artist cut his cake are staff members of the McMichael Conservation Collection of Art at Kleinburg, near Toronto. Staff presented him with cake and a pallet with their signatures. Jackson lives at the gallery and pains nearly every day with the Albion Hills as his background. He accpeted an offer to move in as artist-in-residence a few years ago and works in light-filled studio above galleries which house his work. [Incomplete]

Original Toronto Star caption: A party for the last group of seven artist. surviving member of the famed Group of Seven Y.
