  • 7:14 A.M.; Michael Holtom; a 33-year-old marine yard worker enjoys the view as he has his morning coffee on his houseboat at Toronto Island Marina. Holtom lives on his boat year round. He pulls about 500 boats out of the water in the fall and puts them back in the spring and also acts as a security guard for the marina. It's a lonely existence out here; but you get used to it. You can't beat the view.
