Attached paper reads: Jane Cookson, a 10 year old student at Rosedale Public School, and Scott Taylor of Jarvis Collegiate Institute hold the original Canadian Red Cross flag. Used by Surgeon Major George S. Ryerson during the Riel Rebellion in 1885, it is now part of the John Ross Robertson Collection in the Toronto Public Library.
