Frederick Charles Denison, who lived at Rusholme after his father's death, says in his diary (in the manuscript collection) for 8 July 1895 "Bruce took a group of all the family & of the house this afternoon." (accession number 974-30-4). Inscribed in the print, on the lower left, J (in monogram with B following) BRUCE, '95.
