The launching ceremonies saw numerous high-ranking naval and R.C.A.F. personnel from Ottawa; Montreal and Toronto participating. The Fairmile shown here is 112 feet in length with a beam of 18 feet. This is the seventh of such craft to be constructed by the Orillia boat firm since July; 1941; when contracts were awarded.
