Original Toronto Star caption: Ruck still smoulders after a blast at a Hydro sub-station blacked out downtown Toronto yesterday for 43 minutes. No one was injured in the Richview transformer blast and fire; which was caused when a balky 230;000-volt circuit breaker blew up. One person who saw the blast for a quarter mile away said it sounded just like an atomic bomb. The blackout trapped scores of persons in elevators and stopped subway trains. Traffic lights went out; snarling traffic. [Incomplete]
