Original Toronto Star caption: Violent Gas Explosion today blew out this 35-foot by 10-foot section of the brick apartment wall above Crayden's Pharmacy on Bloor St.; in Etobicoke; leaving the sidewalk littered with debris. Windows in two other apartments were damaged; and a hydro pole splintered by explosion. Two women suffering burns and other injuries are in satisfactory condition. Broken gas main was blamed for blast.
