Original Toronto Star caption: Steam is king for a day. In the days before the internal-combustion engine; steam was king on the farm as well as on the railways and in steamships. The Uxbridge Scott Historical Society recalled those days with its seventh annual Steam Threshing Days at Uxbridge. The venerable steam tractors; antique cars and trucks; Indian crafts and other displays attracted of people to the town's fairgrounds. Harold Archdekin is giving children a free ride on his home-made steam tractor.
