Original Toronto Star caption: The curtain fell on a happy note yesterday at the historic three-day constitutional conference in Ottawa as Prime Minister Lester Pearson (right) removed his spectacles after his closing statement and basked in the applause of delegations from the 10 provinces. Beside him; smiling broadly; is Justice Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau. He sat at Pearson's side throughout the conference and played a key role in hammering out agreements between premiers on a number of points.
