NotesOriginal Toronto Star caption: Newest Jets haul more cargo. Air Canada is tired of flying all those empty seats in its jumbo jets back and forth across the Atlantic. The latest Boeing 747 to be delivered to Air Canada has a special 10-by-12 foot door to the rear of the main deck which has been converted to cargo space for an extra 110 tons of air cargo containers. Above, a special lift is hoisting a cargo container up to the yawning door in the upper deck. Passenger load is cut to 176 from 365.
