Original Toronto Star caption: Last of the eight caskets is being carried to the waiting trucks which took the victims of the mine fire to their last resting place following the service at the temporary Church of Our Lady of Lourdes in school basement. Each of the dead was given individual burial. Every business establishment in Malartic was closed three hours for the funeral.
