Lot 21, Con. 1 West. Yonge St - 5642. This is the birthplace of Lester B. Pearson near Hendon and Yonge Street. It is the Newtonbrook Wesleyan Methodist Church manse, 5642 Yonge Street, where Edwin Arthur Pearson lived when he was minister in Newtonbrook in the 1890's. Reverend Pearson also administered to his flock at Downsview and Oriole. Approximate date - 1906-1910. Demolished about 1951 for North York Chevrolet showroom.
