Emigration, or no emigration; : being the narrative of the author, (an English farmer) from the year 1824-1830; during which time he traversed the United States of America, and the British province of Canada, with a view to settle as an emigrant: containing observations on the manners and customs of the people--the soil and climate of the countries; and a comparative statement of the advantages and disadvantages offered in the United States and Canada: thus enabling persons to form a judgment on the propriety of emigrating. Title-page punctuation transcribed. Later editions published under title: Inquiries of an emigrant.
