A Sudbury mining executive who cast fear to the wind when he chased a gunman who moments earlier had shot and killed a pro-inspector at the Royal York Hotel, has been awarded a police citation. But yesterday, after receiving the civilian citation for bravery from Metro police commissioners, Lloyd Bardswich could only recall the incident with wonderment.

Dunbar, 49, has used his equity in Canadian Tire shares to pay off his mortgage and start a business that later failed. He still has more than $120,000 left. He hopes to retire in few years.

Watching the election returns in his living-room he is flanked by campaign workers Bev Fellows (left) and Mary Lettau. Although he didn't campaign specifically on the issue. Davie was regarded by many citizens as an anti-penitentiary candidate. Major issue was proposed to build a $13 million prison reception centre in the township.
