The native of Guyana is teaching courses on indoor and outdoor gardening for beginners and advanced gardeners. His classroom is his greenhouse in his backyard on Vauxhall Dr. Classes started today and will run for 8 weeks.

A dream come true for former Scarborough insurance man Frederick Carlisle is his three-hulled Caravel II. He bought it 5 years ago for $25,000 and has cruised more than 20,000 miles with his daughters Nora, 11 (left) and Mary, 13, (right) and his wife. During the five-year getaway on the world's oceans the girls managed to pick up six years' credits on their correspondence courses. The Carlisles are thinking of crossing the Atlantic Ocean a second time next year.

Refinishing pine tool moulds is just one of the projects 27-year-old Bill Don has taken on since he and he and his wife Bev decided to fulfil his life's dream, to run their own store. Ardith One, on Yonge St., features antiques and artifacts the pair has collected over the past two years. The young couple say that mixing marriage and business has given them something to work on for the rest of their lives.

Neighboring Centennial Dr. residents had complained about the lion and it hasn't been seen for at least the last two weeks even though Skritek vowed to fight the bylaw and keep the lion.
