Alternate Title
  • Blitzing north Toronto by bicycle. External Affairs Minister Mitchell Sharp pedals through North Toronto Saturday with 16 youngsters, handing out leaflets urging his re-election in Eglinton riding in the Oct.30 federal election. Sharp had problems with his bicycles during the blitz: He started out with a bike with standard gears -- and the brakes seized up, next he borrowed a racing model--and a tire blew out, then he borrowed a girl's bicycle, which survived to the end. Sharp has won Eglinton riding in 1963, 1965 and 1968.
