Original Toronto Star caption: As beel tolls: A hearse carries the body of Stephen Roman away from the Cathedral of the Transfiguration yesterday following a funeral service attended by a throng that included clerics, politicians and business leaders. The building of the Byzantine cathedral, stilll a year away from completion, was a project dear to Roman, head of Denison Mines Ltd. He was the main benefactor of the $25 million building. Roman, a native of Slovakia, came to Canada in 1936.
