Original Toronto Star caption: Back-to-the-land is the theme motivating many young people rebelling against city pollution and pressures. Jim Cairns, above, is one of the Perth County Conspiracy, a group of about 50 young farmers and entertainers who live on farms near Stratford. The rustic life of wood stoves, bare boards and primitive plumbing (and battery-operated record players) has attracted perhaps a couple of thousand in Canada. But often its getting used to group living that drivers some of them back to the city.
