Toronto Institution for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb, and of the Blind Toronto, January, 1862 A school for the Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb, and of the Blind has been in operation for more than three years in Toronto. This School, the only one in the Province, depends on its support on private subscriptions, and an annual grant from the Legislature.
