- Keeping part of a promise he made five years ago, Solicitor-General George Kenr swims (left) in the murky waters of Burlington Bay Saturday, but he admitted the water was still unfit for swimming and gargled as soon as he got out (right) because Iunavoidably swallowed some of the water. As environment minister, he pledged in 1970 the bay would be clear of pollution and fit for swimming by 1975, and that he would take the first swim in it.
