Notes
Original Toronto Star caption: The $38 million project to widen the 2 1/2-kilometre (about 1 1/2 mile) Burlington Bay Skyway bridge is a month ahead of schedule, according to construction superintendent Ron Jasper. The new span will eventually be for south-bound traffic only, but will do double duty when the old bridge is closed next year so it can be widened. By the end of 1985, there will be three lanes plus a truck climbing lane in each direction.
