Original Toronto Star caption: Eskimos and their children, dogs & snowmobiles surround the Nordair DC-3 at Pangnirtung airstrip on mail day, the big, twice-weekly occasion for the 600 residents of the tundra town. The ski-equipped aircraft have placed mail on a regular basis for the people living in Canada's Arctic frontier, and have ended much of their isolation by bringing the world and its advantages to their doors.
