Original Toronto Star caption: New building is seen. Old hospital was so crowded doctors performed operations in the wards, using cots for tables. The 22-bed new building is declared as ''modern as tomorrow.'' It represents combined financial efforts of the people of North Hastings, the province and Red Cross.
