She is the regiment's colonel-in-chief. Wearing a diamond tiara and a jewel-encrusted white gown slashed by the wide ribbon of the Order of the Garter; she was the epitome of royal majesty. More than 300 persons lined the hotel lobby to catch a glimpse of her and another 200 crowded entrance.
