Original Toronto Star caption: Arriving at track; the Queen Mother rides in coach with Lieutenant-Governor J. Jeiller Mackay. The landau was manned by four members of the RCMP. In brilliant sunshine she watched the Governor-General's Horse Gurards perform. After the fifth race she left the royal box to inspect a starting gate. She watched the sixth race and then went to the paddock to watch the saddling of horses for the 103rd running of the Queen's Plate.
