Original Toronto Star caption: Metro bomb squad members cautiously look over suspected bomb as police photographer takes photos. Briefcase was tossed into centre of Kingston Rd. by one of two bandits who tried to hold up branch of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce at Balsam Ave. Men had claimed it was a bomb. Police captured one man; and recovered $29;000. Another man escaped. Police said the simulated bomb was harmelss; but traffic was tied up more than an hour.
