Original Toronto Star caption: Soap star attracts crush of swooning fans. A mob of adoring fans reach out for a touch of soap star Michael Damian, at Simpsons Yorkdale yesterday autographing his new record album, Love is a Mystery. Security guards had trouble holding the teenagers back when the star walked around the stage, but no one was hurt. Several times fans in the crowd estimated at about 2,500 leaped over to give him hugs and kisses. Damian, who plays rock singer Danny Romalati of The Young and the Restless on CBS, will be at Simpsons stores at Fairview at 2 p.m. and at Sherway at 7 p.m. tomorrow and in Kitchener at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
