Most of the hundreds of children who atttended had probably never heard of Thomas Foster - mayor of Toronto from 1925 to 1927 - but they found out one thing. He gives great picnics. Foster left a $100,000 trust fund to finance an annual picnic for city younsters and this was the 31st. It had everything-clowns, magic acts, lots of food.
