Looking on from behind are (left to right) L.C.E. (Edward) Lawrence, Vice President of the Toronto Dominion Bank, Donald Giffen, a director of Maple Leaf Gardens and Allen T. Lambert, Toronto Dominion Chairman and President. The Toronto Dominion Bank was lending the $5,886,600 to purchase the 196,220 share of Gardens stock held by Bassett.
