NotesOriginal Toronto Star caption: This is the setting for the biggest royal event in a decade; the Investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales on July 1. In the background is Caernarvon Castle in which the actual ceremony will take place. Look closely and you'll see painters slapping gallons of paint against ancient walls of this remote Welsh town of 9;000 to get it ready for its big day. It was in this town that Edward II was named first English Prince of Wales by his father; in the year 1284.
