Original Toronto Star caption: A Toboggan Ride down the cobbled streets from the mountain top above Madeira's capital; Funchal; offers tourists on the island something different in the way of entertainment. The wooden toboggans; which were once used to carry farm produce down the steep hills; are guided and restrained by men with ropes and the ride could be described as interesting but not particularly exciting for adults.
