Original Toronto Star caption: The harbor at guernsey in the Channel Islands is a pleasant place to idle away the hours or enjoy a lunchtime sandwich and the city which climbs the hill-side from its inner reaches; St. Peter Port; offers spectacular views of its expanses; Like the other Channel Islands; Guernsey is overlooked by most Canadian travellers though it offers everything from historic sites and neolithic monuments through to spectacular scenery. And it's a good jumping off spot for the other islands of the group.
