Original Toronto Star caption: In case of accident; beware tidal wave! TTC employee pours 13 gallons of water into plastic safety bumber fitted on 30 new buses. Collision impact is said to be reduced as water is forced past plugs atop bumper. TTC tested bumper last winter and ordered 30 front humpers at cost of $9;700. Bumpers are in use already by Regina and Edmonton transit authorities.
