  • Inspecting work at Dupont St. on the $220 million Spadina subway yesterday; Ontario Transportation Minister James Snow was escorted by E. H. Farrow (left); vice-chairman of the Toronto Transit Commission. The province is paying $160 million of the cost of the subway; which is scheduled to open in September; 1977. Snow says; Ottawa has not decided to what extent it will share the cost of urban transit; but federal-provincial talks will get under way next month.
