Notes
Original Toronto Star caption: Hitching a ride: We'll never know for sure, but it looks as if the policeman with a bicycle was waiting to catch a street car at Church and Carlton Sts., in front of the Somerset House, in 1913. Perhaps after riding around his beat on the hot July day, he decided to take the easy way home.
