Original Toronto Star caption: A cake for a cause: Hospital drive opens. East York Mayor True Davidson and Metro Chairman Albert Campbell take first cut in Metro's hospital cake as Mayor William Dennison looks on. They were opening the campaign to raise $15 million to expand East General Hospital. Cake; in shape of hospital; was made by secretary Mrs. Jill starling. Later; Dennison and 15 nurses from the hospital distributed pieces of the cake to people walking through the City Hall square during yesterday's lunch hour.
