Original Toronto Star caption: Big cheer for their 'reborn' hospital is given by some of the staff members at Doctors Hospital yesterday after they learned the provincial government would not close it down; as threatened. Leading cheering are hospital administrator Stanley Johnston (left; front); C. Arthur Downes (at Johnston's left); board chairman; and Dr. Bernard Balshin (rear; left); chief of staff. Johnson led the one-year fight to keep the downtown Toronto hospital open. He announced victory.
