Original Toronto Star caption: A sweet cargo for Toronto. Sugar in pouring into Toronto but is isn't getting any cheaper. This impressive looking ship; the Liberian freighter Patricia M. is docked at the foot of Jarvis St. unloading 32 million pounds of raw sugar at Redpath Industries Ltd. The cargo represents a fortune at today's grocery shelf prices. Sugar futures on the New York commodity market climbed to $57.20 a cwt. yesterday for March delivery. Current supermarket price is as high as 75 cents a pound.
