Many visitors to Canadian National Exhibition found the pond at Ontario Place just the place to cool off after the long trek through CNE grounds. If the weather holds up; it will be a record Exhibition. [Incomplete]

      New home for Hedgehog: Kim Dormaar, assistant director of new Metro zoo, holds a hedgehog from Asia, one of 5,000 animals, birds, reptiles and fish which will live in the 700-acre zoo. In order to raise funds for the new zoo, Metro's six mayors and thousands of zoo supporters are today walking 15 miles in hopes of raising $500,000 towards $6 million zoo fund objective. The zoo, being built in northeastern corner of Scarborough, will open next summer.
