Original Toronto Star caption: This was Sunnyside yesterday. It is a task to spot an inch of space on the long beach or in the swimming tank not being used by sweltering citizens trying; largely in vain; to get away from the torrid and humid heat. Line up to get into swimming pool was six deep all day; while other thousands took frequent dips in the lake. Weatherman; sweltering too; can see no relief today
