Original Toronto Star caption: Pizza-maker Joe Luciano; 34; has been throwing dough around for a living for about 10 years. For the last four years he's owned The Big Slice on Yonge St.; south of Gerrard St.; but he still keeps up to his elbows in flour. Every night he tosses about 480 pounds of dough to make about 120 pizzas. Crowds often gather at his window to watch the flying fast food take shape. Yeah; I feel like a celebrity sometimes; he admits.

    Showing how his wares work - almost all at the same time - is Ballon King Otto Bishof. He estimates he'll sell about 50,000 balloons and about 30,000 party hats, horns, noise-makers, bells and whistles to bring in the New Year. After 11 years in the business, he says he still has a lot of fun. Bischof also rents out canisters of helium gas to fill balloons, and he and staff also decorate some hotels for the festivities.

    Relaxing in Venetian splendor of their formal living room are Victor Biasi and Richard, 10. Because Victor has lived in Venice most of his life, practically all the furniture in the room has been imported from Italy. Although the home on Glenview Ave. in North Toronto looks English on the outside, inside it is transformed into a touch of Venice transported to Toronto.
