Original Toronto Star caption: On our side this time. A big German howitzer, captured by Canadian forces during the Great War and for the past 18 years adorning the lawns of Canadian Legion Post 75 property in Fairbank. York township, was yesterday directed towards its birthplace, Germany. We're sending it back to where it rightfully belongs. We township employee, was the drive of a steam roller used to remove the weapon from the post's grounds he said. The gun weighs abou nine tons, according to R. O. Haw trey, assistant engineer for York township. [Incomplete]
