NotesOriginal Toronto Star caption: Historic site: This quiet historic site - the Laskey Hotel on Port Union Rd. in Scarborough - is creating a controversy. Its owners, Gordon and Doreen Casey, want to obtain a demolition permit so it'll be easier to sell the 19th century hotel. It's the last 19th century hotel left in the borough and is a duplicate of the Halfway House, which has been relocated at the Black Creek Pioneer Village. Laskey Hotel, formerly on Port Union Road, east side, far south end of the road.
