Original Toronto Star caption: The hub of a boom town; the main street of Nakina in northern Ontario is lined with vehicles - one sign of the new life being pumped into the town by a pulp and paper mill. A year ago; the town's population was 650; now it's 1;100 and growing. More lumberjacks work for Kimberly-Clark than there used to be railroaders working for the CNR at the peak of the steam engine era.
