Original Toronto Star caption: Just a fraction of the 23;000 people who turned out for the Mariposa Festival on Centre Island over the weekend; these happy folks yesterday enjoyed fine weather and fine music offered them on 14 acre site. Mariposa sold over 80 percent of its tickets by mail order before they went on sale to a public that bought up the rest in a record breaking five days. Critic Peter Gddard said each day took a different character; with yesterday being most concentrated.
