They break up fights, cool off drunken businessmen, turn in thieving employees, handle guest complaints. All for around $10,000 a year, scant promotional prospects and lousy working hours. This is the story of a 25-year-old house dick in a large downtown Toronto hotel. Both security officer and hotel requested anonymity.
