Original Toronto Star caption: Blood Flowed in Varsity arena today as hundreds of people turned out to help the Red Cross replenish Metro Toronto's seriously depleted blood bank. Low supplies of blood forced Metro hospitals earlier this week to postpone operations. Yesterday about 1,800 people turned out, to the surprise and delight of Red Cross officials and today a steady flow of people came to Bloor St. arena to donate seven-eights of a pint of their blood.
