Original Toronto Star caption: What better way to pass time until Christmas than bundling up against the cold and taking a ride on a sleigh drawn by a horse on your way to find a Christmas tree. These youngsters from kindergarten at Crossroads Nursery School took advantage of the sleigh ride to join together for a few favorite Christmas carols during recent visit to the Horton Tree Farm in York Region. Teacher Karen Kay; who helped supervise the outing; was quick to join singing. Thousands of Metro-area school children made the trek into winter wonderland of snow this year to choose and cut Christmas trees they would use to decorate classrooms. Snow ball fights also helped make trip memorable.
